Welcome to The Village of South Bloomfield Division of Police K9 Website!!!

South Bloomfield has implemented a Drug Interdiction Team.

The K9 services for this team are donated at no cost to the citizens. If you would like to make a donation to support these efforts, please contact us.

This team currently consists of one officer and one detective (K9 handler).  The team is already producing results.

Note: All seizures listed on this page are felony charges.  We also log numerous misdemeanor drug charges every month not listed on this page.


On 11-2-06, Officer Dauberman, of the South Bloomfield Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle for window tint (18%) violation.  While attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver threw a crown royal bag out the window, which contained 251.5 grams ( about 1/2 pound ) of cocaine.

 


On 10-17-06, the South Bloomfield Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped  a vehicle traveling Southbound on US RT 23 for a traffic violation. During the course of the investigation during the traffic stop, K9 Gunner was deployed.  A search, subsequent to K9 indication, reveled 4 pounds of suspected marijuana. 


On 11-18-06 the South Bloomfield Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle traveling South on US RT 23. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation, and felony warrant hits.  While conducting the investigation of the traffic offense, K9 Gunner was deployed.  A search incident to K9 indication revealed 170 grams of marijuana.  The driver was also wanted on felony marijuana trafficking and possession charges.
