On 5-19-07 the US RT 23 Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on US RT 23 for a traffic violation. A search incident to K9 alert discovered 906 grams of marijuana hidden in a fruit drink box in the trunk.

 


On 11-18-06 the South Bloomfield Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle traveling South on US RT 23. The vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation, and felony warrant hits.  While conducting the investigation of the traffic offense, K9 Gunner was deployed.  A search incident to K9 indication revealed 170 grams of marijuana.  The driver was also wanted on felony marijuana trafficking and possession charges.


On 11-2-06, Officer Dauberman, of the South Bloomfield Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped a vehicle for window tint (18%) violation.  While attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver threw a crown royal bag out the window, which contained 251.5 grams ( about 1/2 pound ) of cocaine.

 


On 10-17-06, the South Bloomfield Increased Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped  a vehicle traveling Southbound on US RT 23 for a traffic violation. During the course of the investigation during the traffic stop, K9 Gunner was deployed.  A search, subsequent to K9 indication, reveled 4 pounds of suspected marijuana. 


On 8-5-06 a driver was stopped on US RT 23 N/B for driving under suspension and a warrant hit. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver had numerous cartons of cigarettes in her vehicle. A search incident to arrest revealed 19 cartons of cigarettes with a out of state tax stamp. The driver is facing 2 different felony charges.  Stops such as these show that our interdiction team is not only focusing on narcotics, but all elements of criminal activity.

 


On 6-17-06 The South Bloomfield Police Interdiction Team stopped a vehicle traveling south on US RT 23 for a traffic offense. K9 Gunner was deployed on a free air sniff of the vehicle, and alerted to the rear door. A search incident to K9 alert produced about 1 pound of marijuana.

On 5-20-06 the South Bloomfield Police Interdiction Team stopped a vehicle traveling southbound on US 23.  When Ofc. Dauberman made contact with the driver, he found that there were numerous indicators of possible contraband.

During the investigation of the traffic stop, Detective Turner walked K9 Gunner on the vehicle, and he alerted. A search produced over 20 grams of crack, and a small amount of Marijuana. It should be noted that the crack was already packaged for distribution. 


On 4-22-06, Detective Turner stopped a vehicle S/B on US RT 23 for a traffic violation. K9 Gunner alerted on the vehicle, and a search produced the pictured weapon, loaded, with an extra box of ammunition.  The efforts of the South Bloomfield Interdiction Team is to get this contraband off the streets, to protect the citizens of South Bloomfield.

 

Police Confiscate more than 13 pounds of pot

South Bloomfield has implemented a new Drug Interdiction Team. This team currently consists of one officer (supervisor) and one detective (K9
handler).  The team is already producing results, and please check back often for updates.

South Bloomfield Police Officer Rob Dauberman inventories more than 13 pounds of recently-harvested marijuana, believed to be from six to eight plants he recovered after making a routine traffic stop in the village 4:45p.m.. saturday.

Charged with possession of marijuana, displaying expired licence tags, driving under nine separate licence suspensions, and on warrants issued by Van Wert and Union County was Glen J. Bailey,42, Kenton.

He was expected to appear before Circleville Municipal Court Judge John Adkins Monday, and has been incarcerated in the Pickaway County Jail. Dauberman, who has extensive training in drug enforcement, estimates street value of the drugs at more then $25,000. Majority was discovered in the trunk of a 1988 Mercury Cougar, while some bags were also found behind the driver's seat.
