Court Information

At the bottom of your traffic or misdemeanor citation is the "notice" of your scheduled court date and time. YOU MUST personally appear in court at the date and time stated UNLESS your appearance is excused. Here are the ways you may be excused prior to the scheduled court date:

  1. You may plead " GUILTY " to the charge by sending to the court a signed waiver of trial with payment of the scheduled monetary fine and costs.
  2. You may plead " NOT GUILTY " to the charge by sending to the court a signed plea of not guilty. A trial would then be scheduled by the court for a later date. You MUST appear in court at that time.
  3. You may request in writing a continuance of the scheduled court date, if necessary, to a later tim. NO continuances may be granted over the telephone.
